Catsaway
IMPORTANT!!!!!
Clarifications: Click over contraptions dropped by enemies in order to place them in your base. Sorry I was not able to clarify this in the tutorial, but you do not need to walk over the contraption to place them in the base.
Controls:
WASD for movement
LMB for all buttons and contraptions.
Basic Mechanics:
Click the hammer icon at the bottom then click on a highlighted tile in order to expand your island. The cost of the expanded tile is indicated by the hammer on the upper left.
Click the dropped contraption then click on a highlighted tile to put the contraption on your island.
Click the wrench icon then click on a highlighted tile to delete a contraption.
Upgrade Mechanic:
In order to upgrade a contraption, you would need to sacrifice a duplicate contraption.
When tiles are placed in proper positions, click over the upgrade button (blue arrow) and click over the contraption you would want to upgrade. Finally, click on the sacrificial tile in order to upgrade the contraption by a level.
You do not need to complete the grid formation in order to upgrade the main contraption.
Please use the image below as reference, where the light blue tile is the main contraption and the dark blue tiles are the sacrifice positions.
This image can also be viewed in game through the book in the bottom right corner.
Thats it for the mechanics, thanks for reading this far!!!
Description:
Short game made by a group of friends with a unique twist on the tower defense genre. The player starts off with a single tile, which they would gradually turn into an unstoppable island of their will.
Quickly expand your tiles using gold from defeated enemies and upgrade your contraptions in order to reach the end game.
This is the first game jam we have ever attended, hope you enjoy the game!

This game is so much fun! I love the concept and art style! The level of difficulty is just right for a nice and fun game! The interface is really smooth and graphics and rules are clear! Amazing work! Would definitely recommend this game to others!
Thank you I’m glad you liked it!! Appreciate the feedback 🙇♀️
Amazing
Thanks!!!!
SUUUCH A CUTE GAME!!! Pretty art style, music is fun. The mechanics were a bit hard to get into (took me around 10 mins of messing around before I figured out how upgrades worked) but it was fun seeing how quickly I could spam down towers before the Evil ate them. Would love to see the controls more developed, but there's a whooole lot of potential here. Round 27 is cooked I survived up to 28.
I will return to make sinigang out of round 28
AAHAHAHHAHAH thank you so much for your comment! Glad you were able to enjoy the game, and I will for sure work harder towards introducing the mechanics of the game. Looking forward to you making sinigang out of round 27 >:D
